Plan Your Visit
If there’s one thing we hear again and again from guests, it’s that they wish they’d booked more nights.
One night never feels like enough, two is a good start, and three or more lets you properly unwind and take in everything Cedar Ridge House and the surrounding region have to offer.
Our rates back this up — the longer you stay, the lower your nightly cost.
Things to See and Do
Some guests are happy doing very little for the length of their stay; others are up and out from dawn to dusk…
…whatever your preference, Cedar Ridge House, Port Fairy and the local area will have you covered. For those looking to indulge there’s cellar doors, great restaurants, day spas, cosy cafes and fantastic shopping; for adventure seekers there’s great surfing, cycling, scuba diving, stand up paddle-boarding, hiking and deep-sea fishing charters; For nature lovers there’s the whales, dolphins and seals, rare birdlife, rich coastal ecosystems; For cultural enrichment there’s an amazing world heritage-listed first peoples history to discover, a year round program of festivals and events, museums and guided walks.
Around Port Fairy
Port Fairy makes an ideal base for a few days spent exploring south-west Victoria.
It’s a short drive to the standout sights at the western end of the Great Ocean Road, and less than an hour inland to the dramatic peaks of Gariwerd (Grampians National Park). There’s also easy access to lesser-known but equally striking spots well off the tourist trail, including Cape Bridgewater, the World Heritage-listed Budj Bim cultural landscape, and the Henty and Grampians wine regions.
